For-profit healthcare companies are lobbying the Alberta government for more money and greater privatization of the province's medical system.

The lobbying push comes as polls show a close race between the United Conservative Party (UCP), which has privatized parts of the province's healthcare system, and the Alberta New Democratic Party, which has consistently condemned the UCP's privatization efforts.
