Our Spending
The IJF is a non-profit. That means every dollar directly supports our mission of strengthening Canadian democracy through public interest journalism. You can see a full list of all our donors here. Want to join them? You can subscribe here or make a donation here. If you’d like to make a tax receiptable gift another way, please contact Meghan Snider at meghan.snider@theijf.org.
In our 2024 fiscal year, which ran from Nov. 1, 2023, to Oct. 31, 2024, we spent 86 per cent of our supporters’ money on staff costs. It’s people that drive the IJF’s work and so that’s where we invest. Want to see how our costs for this year compare to those from previous years? Please check out our 2023 and 2022 pages.
We’ll update this page following the end of the next fiscal year, which ends on Oct. 31 each year.
