Boulder Mountain Resort owner Ray Redekopp spent a frustrating year trying to navigate the halls of power in B.C. He wanted to expand his Revelstoke resort westward to create staff housing and recreational vehicle sites. But the expansion would encroach on Crown land, and he needed the province’s permission to rent, lease, or purchase it.
“There were multiple times where I thought I was getting to the right people,” he says, “and I just kept getting bounced around.”
