Economic permanent residency applications in Canada are being accepted at the highest rate since at least 2000, an analysis by the Investigative Journalism Foundation (IJF) shows.

In 2021, 378,200 people or 97.5 per cent of those who applied to be economic permanent residents, were accepted. In 2005, just 80.6 per cent of applicants got in.
