An RCMP cadet has been booted out of the force’s main training program in Regina after being charged with the sexual assault of another cadet. 

The alleged attack occurred in January this year, but was revealed only recently through an Access to Information Act request by the IJF, which the RCMP initially rebuffed. The force relented after a complaint to Canada’s information commissioner.
