The Investigative Journalism Foundation has officially launched its 13th public interest database, with a massive new trove of information on the people governments are appointing to make some of the most important decisions affecting Canadians’ lives.
The new appointments database brings together orders-in-council announcing all appointments made by federal and provincial governments, excluding Quebec. It includes everyone from judges, ambassadors and ombudspersons to Crown corporation executives and deputy ministers — even the prime minister’s chef.
