Atlas Holdings, a conglomerate that owns 27 manufacturing companies in Canada and the U.S., registered to lobby the Alberta government to “evaluate whether there is high-level support for Atlas proposed economic development projects within Alberta.”

On the same day, one of the company’s subsidiaries, Alberta-based Millar Western Forest Products Ltd., also filed a lobbying registration about the province’s methods for determining stumpage fees, which are payments companies must make to provincial governments for logging on Crown lands.
